Thanks guys,i found out that i do have both sata and 4 pin molex (wires were really messy lol) from power supply but the 4 pin is not linear rectangular 4 pin (like on this fan) but its square,2 holes next to 2 holes.there's adapters for either of these as u told me,BUT what i forgot to mention is that i want to be able to TURN OFF the fan when not gaming/rendering/video editing (cuz 3200rpm is pretty loud). There is no tach cable ( only 2 wires ), won't be able to tell RPM's, it's meant to run full speed, no real point in attempting to power it via the motherboard even if you had a free header. Look at the lower right hand corner of the photo, that's a Molex pass-thru connector, you connect it to a Molex connector from the power supply, and it allows for another peripheral to be connected. is there such a thing to connect it to adapter which converts it to regular usb, so i can plug it in the regular usb ports on the back of my PC (usb ports like the ones for mouse, keyboard, any electronics.) ? if it does exist, will it have enough power to run the fan?Įdit: ok i found this one, which is 4 pin to dual usb,but i wonder if it has enough power to run the fan : 799 (4.00/Count) FREE delivery Thu, Jan 11 on 35 of items shipped by Amazon. where do i exactly plug it in? i don't have anywhere to plug it on the motherboard.
